I've come across a few giongo/giseigo/gitaigo/etc. references making my way through the ethers of the 'net, but it seems one of the ones I used to reference a fair bit is no longer around. Glad to see a fresh one is growing, and from one of our very own members!
If you have time, I'm sure some vocal examples would be appreciated for anyone struggling with Japanese pronunciation. Also, "zuruzuru" made an appearance in the "FFVII: Advent Children" movie.. Anyway, looks great, keep up the good work! Keep us updated too. |

Hi
It`s nice that you are trying to set up a giongo dictionary. Kudos for putting the effort in. If you are in Japan and struggling with giongo, drop by any big book store like kinokunya that has a section for learning Japanese and you should be able to find a bunch of books on it. Just off the top of my head, ARC has a really good one that explains it in English and Japanese. If you are hard core try the kids section, Chibimaruko has one out. Also if you read Japan Times they also have a weekly column on giongo. For those in TO, try subscribing to the Japanese Journal. Good LUCK! ![]() C |

Thank you Chris for your suggestions!
okay I will drop by Kinokuniya bookstore sometimes. I'm sure those books help my dictionary coz it is very hard to translate giongo to English. I need more skill for my English, making this dictionary is a good exercise. and I love Chibimaruko-chan! A |
