Introduction

I am studying Japanese, but have absolutely nowhere to practice outside of class. Learning a language needs to be an active experience if you want to get anything valuable out of it.

What is your overall Japanese level? (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, Native)

Beginner. I took the level 1 class at U of T (continuing studies) and am registered in level 2. I have a kanji-a-day calendar at work for some enrichment.

What is your overall English level? (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, Native)

Native in French and English (allophone).

What are your expectations for this group?

I want to meet people with similar interests while cementing Japanese in my brain without having to go to Japan to do it.
